A Celebration of WorldPride Artists

I had the privilege of photographing a reception hosted by the Embassy of Sweden and the WorldPride Arts and Culture Committee, celebrating the achievements of WorldPride’s artistic community. The event featured tributes to Swedish musical artists performed by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington’s “Potomac Fever,” local drag queen MaKayla Starr, DC-based dancers, and members of the National LGBTQIA+ Flute Choir. Capturing this gathering was a rewarding experience that highlighted how art and culture play a vital role in fostering connection within the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond.
